Cacoteo Radio is the internet’s 1st Reggaeton radio station online 24/7 at a worldwide level. Cacoteo Reggaeton Network is a volunteer-driven, non-commercial platform, ensuring our content remains authentic, diverse, and free from commercial pressures. Our vision is to not only be a source of entertainment but also an educational resource and a catalyst for cultural appreciation and community development. It was founded by veteran Reggaeton Dj & Producer, DjTito (Loiza,Puerto Rico) formerly of Wu Tang Latino with his friend Lemy (Tampa,FL) in 2007 as a way to bring hot new and underground Reggaeton music to the masses. In 2002 Tego Calderon, with his hit “Cosa Buena” helped bring an international spotlight to Reggaeton. A few years later Daddy Yankee’s Gasolina burned up the airwaves and in 2006, Reggaeton crossed over to the U.S. mainland audience with hits from Tego, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Voltio & Calle 13. The industry jumped on the Reggaeton wave after it’s major crossover & were not representing the music in its pure form with only a few of the original artists getting recongition. Veterans of the genre from Puerto Rico like Wiso G, Lisa M, Ranking Stone, Las Guanabanas, Lito & Polaco, Nicky Jam, Maicol & Manuel, Falo, OG Black,Master Joe,Trebol Clan, Rey Pirin, Tempo, Hornyman y Pantyman, Don Chezina, and many more were not given any exposure. New upcoming artists were also not given a break. In comes Cacoteo Radio to set things straight with a special emphasis on educating listeners and serving underrepresented community of artists, djs, producers that otherwise would go ingnored. While some may argue about the origins of Reggaeton, the fact is that “cacoteo” is a slang word that reflects the genre and its essence from it’s BIRTH & infancy in Puerto Rico, to it’s current worldwide status that has taken Latino America and the world by storm. We find, play, and break all the best music from today’s hottest upcoming artists, building a strong repertoire & supporting them from the start of their careers. Some of which have become worldwide names! We are listener supported and committed to playing the best music in the public’s interest. Cacoteo Radio evens the playing bringing exposure to new upcoming & deserving artists alongside names like Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez, Darell, Almighty, etc as well as all the classic hits from veterans like Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Mexicano, Tempo, Nicky Jam, Jowell y Randy, Eddie Dee, Horny Man y Pantyman, Maicol y Manuel, Playero, Nico Canada, and more!
