Cocoteo FM is official. The creative origin remains an open question.
Rockstar Games officially announced Cocoteo FM as a Grand Theft Auto VI radio station on October 8, 2026. Its format is Modern Latin. Bad Bunny appears as El Martillo and RaiNao appears as La Gata. The three official preview songs are identified in the Tracklist; they are not a complete final station tracklist.

The domain is controlled by the Cacoteo side of this story. That gives the station a clearly named place to preserve the record. It does not establish ownership of Rockstar’s fictional station or prove a creative relationship.

Cacoteo Radio was founded in 2007.[8] The more important distinction is the activity: programming, interviews, DJs and a public listening identity—not just a newly registered name.

Cacoteo’s recovered record includes a 2017 Now Playing announcement for Jon Z featuring Myke Towers. The original post address and a preserved screenshot now sit beside the account—not just a recollection.

Before Cocoteo FM: The Cacoteo Radio Archive Dossier
CACOTEO RADIO — THE WORLD’S FIRST 24/7 ONLINE REGGAETON RADIO STATION. Founded in 2007 in Central Florida’s Orlando–Kissimmee–Davenport corridor by Founder DJ Tito and Lemy, with cultural roots in the 1990s Underground scene of Loíza, Puerto Rico.
Rockstar’s October 8, 2026 Cocoteo FM preview brought familiar Puerto Rican voices into the GTA VI conversation. Cacoteo Radio’s archive had documented these artists long before that announcement. These are four original Cacoteo histories, each linked to its underlying record and kept separate from Rockstar’s confirmed previews, album releases and reported station placements.

Rauw Alejandro — the record before the album
Cacoteo Radio’s WordPress archive preserves Rauw Alejandro ft. Miky Woodz — “I.D.G.F.” under post #26486, with a currently stored publication date of July 20, 2015. It places Rauw in Cacoteo’s surviving artist archive more than a decade before the GTA VI music announcement. The original pre-migration date is not independently established by that stored timestamp alone.
GTA VI STATUS — OFFICIAL ALBUM ONLY. Rockstar announced Rauw Alejandro’s “Macacoa 2000” for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album on September 17, 2026. Its placement on Cocoteo FM or any in-game station is not confirmed.

Cacoteo Radio’s archive contains Bad Bunny’s “Soy Peor” under WordPress post #32156, with a currently stored date of December 11, 2016. The archive post documents Cacoteo’s early coverage; by itself it does not establish an on-air spin that day or an independently verified pre-migration publication timestamp. A separate October 8, 2026 Apple Music/TuneIn exhibit documents the station’s contemporary listening presence.
GTA VI STATUS — OFFICIAL PREVIEW, NOT FINAL TRACKLIST. Rockstar’s October 8 Cocoteo FM preview includes Bad Bunny’s “EoO.” Music press attributes the host voice El Martillo to Bad Bunny. “25/8” remains rumored/unassigned, not an officially previewed Cocoteo FM selection.

Myke Towers — the actual 2017 track
Cacoteo Radio’s preserved June 24, 2017 @Cacoteo Now Playing announcement identifies Jon Z ft. Myke Towers — “Ronko Porque Puedo.” Its source address and screenshot are preserved in the dated evidence file. Selected additional Cacoteo announcements involving Myke Towers survive from 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023.
GTA VI STATUS — REPORTED / UNCONFIRMED. Myke Towers’ “Girl” (2020) appears in reporting about Cocoteo FM, not among Rockstar’s three official October 8 preview songs. The 2017 receipt is for “Ronko Porque Puedo”; it is not evidence that “Girl” aired in 2017.

DjTito. Loíza roots. A wider signal.
DjTito places his musical roots in the 1990s Loíza Underground scene, growing up between Puerto Rico and California. His account includes turntables, Hip-Hop and Dancehall instrumentals, neighborhood microphone sessions, and later Florida events built through Puerto Rican connections.
His Central Florida experiences included Tough Parties events around Kissimmee and documenting performances involving Jowell y Randy and J Álvarez. Those experiences belong to the station’s cultural context; they are not presented as a connection to Rockstar.
DjTito is the long-term independent builder behind Cacoteo. DJs, artists and collaborators are part of that record; the station’s identity and editorial voice remain its own.

DjTito describes a bespoke station able to include original, uncensored recordings alongside underground selections and established releases. The aim is to let the music speak as the artist presented it, while giving emerging voices room alongside established names.

Third-party community analysis
In September 2026, before Rockstar’s announcement, GTA-community contributor Vic Santo / VixSanto argued that Cocoteo FM was a GTA-style reinterpretation of Cacoteo Radio. [22]

Cocoteo.FM is a Cacoteo-controlled entry into this Cacoteo Radio publication. That website relationship does not establish Rockstar’s creative intent. Cacoteo Radio was founded as an online Reggaeton station in 2007.
